The Uruguay of Europe (Switzerland)

Zurich - Switzerland, 17.08.1998

In Uruguay for years grew up listening to our country was " American Switzerland", so we expected great discoveries to come to this country, famous watches, there was no army, and the Red Cross among others. The

first visit (across from Germany) were the Rhine Falls ( Rheinfall ). Impressive water force and images of white foam-green water Tues For those who dare, the experience of board a ship and face the river is very interesting.

who desires to avoid the cost of access Rhine Falls (not to exceed one dollar), you can use a road that goes to the left toward the train station, just before entering the Castle. Front

Lake Zurich (5 Richterswil Hornstra ) we stayed at the Horn Shelter , something far from downtown but highly recommended. Zurich

In addition to the typical visit to the church Fraumunster the year 1230, it was very interesting to see an exhibition in the heart of downtown cows. Modified reproductions of various artists cows, painted and set in the city.

The night in Zurich worthwhile. Many clubs and busy nightlife.

Geneva - Switzerland, 08.18.1998

Geneva Road to go through Interlaken, which is like a village in the middle of nowhere around the famous river Aar (which always appears in crossword puzzles.) Mountains, rivers, small stone bridges, winding paths and show the melting of mountain.

In Geneva we stayed at the Hostel Geneve (20 rue Rothschild). From there we visited the Anglican Church of the Holy Trinity with its beautiful stained glass, the Lake Leman with a jet of water (Jet d'Eau ) that reaches 145 meters, and Botanical Gardens (with several giant checkerboards to play freely), among other attractions.

The famous flower clock ( Horloge Fleurie), is colored plants, not flowers - at least at this time of year. It is also interesting that plants are the month and year: AOUT 98. Walking

chance, I ended up listening to a gypsy jazz group in a park outdoors.

To reach Italy (toward the blue coast), crossing the Mont Blanc paying a toll in Geneva U $ S 5 to get to France + U $ S 35 for the tunnel + U $ S 11 by the Italian toll.
