WHITE COMPANY Arthur Conan Doyle
The White Company, tells of the adventures that happen to three friends in Medieval England (ca. 1300). The protagonists are Edricson Alleyne, a young and inexperienced monk of the Abbey of Beaulieu; Hordle John, a giant rogue and tried, dismissed with disgrace from the same abbey of Beaulieu, and Samkin Aylward, a skilled archer tanning in countless battles.
These three disparate characters are on the road and decide to enroll in The White Company, under the command of Sir Nigel Loring , knight of arms and honor, to make war on English soil against the forces of the usurper king. In this long tour of England and Spain, the three friends will participate in many wanderings and adventures, Conan Doyle knew recreate their usual expertise.
In this novel, Conan Doyle , shows his true passion for literature, which is none other than the historical novel and it always considered The White Company as his favorite book, a worthwhile read.
