Reflections of a Traveler
were 6 months of travel (180 days back to the World), 30 countries, more than 50 cities, 3 oceans, 4 continents, 15,000 km in Europe , 1,500 photos. Changing hemisphere, crossing the line of Ecuador, northern trip to Norway , a winter overlooked. From McDonald's to cremations India and Nepal , the canals of Venice the millions of Chinese , River Nile the Berlin Wall .
I noticed several tastes: World music CDs, Gilberto Gil in Turkey , beers from around the world, 5 star hotels, motels a few coins, mountain camps, 10 Buddhas at $ 1, silk scarves, jade crafts, t-shirts and watches.
But something is rescue of the journey is the knowledge that one will not ever lose the sense of wonder, because in every corner of the world (and also Uruguay) there is something new, something unusual, something mysterious, something beautiful, something unique, something unimaginable. In each place I we have been filling the senses: beautiful parks, stunning waterfalls, different foods, new music, forests and mountains full of green.
Each place has its particular touch, has a way of being, its originality, its beauties, and often its horrors. So the classic question: "What did you like best?" no answer really is fair. How to say Prague, Bergeim or Venice are "villages" more beautiful and familiar, or the turquoise mountain rivers in Interlaken in Switzerland are beyond belief. How dare to say that the lengthy development, order and solidarity of the Nordic countries ( especially Sweden), Germany and Belgium is more remarkable than the joy of Italian and English . How could you do to spend more time on it surprising that Americans are or Nepalese, ignoring the hunger of India , the contradictions of China or stunning economic success of Singapore and Hong Kong . I can not speak of the magnificent beaches of Hawaii if I was also in those of Thailand , Greece, Spain and France . Really it is difficult to decide whether the culture in Paris , may exceed that comes in every bit of land of Egypt or each street or Austria Hungary .
If you ask me where they would live, the answer is obvious: Uruguay , cute little country, my people, with the river as wide as the sea, with beaches, the mountains, with the problems that lie ahead, and the many things to change. But it is true that England is comfortable, what remains of socialism Swedish can help, that Bruges is to fall in love, which Nepal is a dream, and that the English and tetanus make us feel at home.
The trip is a break, a change (huge) in life, which means to burn a time to turn the other (s). I return full of enthusiasm, a spirit and new life experiences. "Tolerance" is the word that has resonated in the minds of those who travel. "Change" is what emerges from the soul of some to see the world, to recognize shortcomings and virtues of our planet. "Love" is what stands in the heart as the great banner.
This is the journey. Much more than thousands of dollars on flights, accommodation, sightseeing and transportation. Much more than souvenirs, souvenirs. Even more than elsewhere. The "people" is what stands out. The distance also helps us see ourselves not as "third world" or as "solidarity and Macanudo" as we think.

How To Be A Sloane Ranger
Murphy's Law Dictionary Traveler
The Journey of Economics is a long journey and crowded, so things do not always go as you wanted, which resulted in several laws attached to the famous Murphy's Law : "If something can go wrong, it will ".
We often happens that after the events occurred, or after the stories we live, we have the feeling of us lost an amazing picture, so we formulated the Law of the photo: "Do not let tomorrow the picture you can get today. "
As the grass always grows greener on the neighbor's side, we Uniqueness Theorem:" The probability that a place is beautiful is inversely proportional to the amount of people who may have visited. To which is added the corollary Jenos A.: "The perfect trip does yourself, but inside us we know that always lived seatmate it better."
life in shopping Far East took us a couple of interesting laws. Agarone Mc Law: "Whenever I could have paid a little less" Wild Law: "My partner occasional seat probably bought it for less."
The day to day is not a simple thing, so there appears Axiom East: "The air conditioner will run the more heat is worse," and the basis of Theorem Morning: "Breakfast is the most complete, the day I can not eat anything. The quality of breakfast is directly proportional to the intestinal liquidity. "
Cloud's Law never fails: "Surely it will rain the day I do not put the rain jacket in the bag."
work in the United States Chicano Law: "The harder it is to communicate in English, the more likelihood that the person speaks perfect English."
The pessimists in the group are always there, so they create their own version of the accrual principle: "Every problem can be advanced" or "have any good news must wait for verification, and confirmed happen ... while the bad news is recognized at the slightest likely to happen. "
guides give us their own laws and theorems: Sony Act (HongKong guide): "The guides are there to help," the corollary of Krishna (a guide to Nepal): "In my business, everything is much cheaper and good "A second corollary Gonzo (China guide):" Maybe so, but I can not talk about it ", and a final corollary of Ali (Egypt):" My boat is more expensive, but have life insurance. To which is added to the fundamental principle of the Guide: "The program is unchangeable."
own versions to complete some of the Asian world. Maoist Law: "All flesh is not comparable to that of cow, is duck ", next to Cat's Corollary:" Are you a duck, is rich. "
Some Like do not do anything disgusting, so we finished with the corollary of the Turkish Abad:" Sight, diarrhea it does not feel ".

Spray Painting Designs
In Guillin (China) had one of the highest points in the use of language , when a fellow traveler trying to speak English, asked a shopkeeper" How much the nidou? "to buy a bird's nest that was hanging in his shop (in the middle of the forest).
But obviously it was not the only case. Phrases like" one the east and one the other "or" iu sai jau mach "were commonly used by many of us.
The basic vocabulary of traveler should include: Cheaper
- please!
- so much expensive for me!
- boarding pass check in
- / check out
- place over bucking
- available?
- someplace to access Internet?
- safety box
- travelers
- souvenir gifts
- uruguayan student group
- thirty six photos little country
- film entre Argentina and Brazil
- one dollar one Big Mac, Coke, no ice, please excursus
- me, is it possible to ...

Nummular Eczema In Football
Back home (URUGUAY)
Montevideo - Uruguay, 07.10.1998
me off the plane and arrived at another city. Another trip destination.
from the sky, the airport looked like a small house, off the plane and they get on a bus to get to the arrivals building. In the street the traffic is crazy, and the cars start off with the yellow light. The Taxis do not have the amount, but a chip rate that is queried in a list. Buses in the city to stop the driver download to buy cigarettes. In the corners juggle poor children asking for money to passers.
seems that we again to the Third World, the city is old but not so in Europe. The buildings are tall, but do not reach the height of New York. Everything seems to move at a slow pace as in Asia, but not so many people, not slanted eyes and no animals in the street (except for some dogs, horses and carts that collect garbage). Kathmandu
is not, nor Varanasi. Nor is Beijing or Bangkok. It looks like a European city, mixing styles, Italian, English, Portuguese and English. Rambla is Barcelona but it is not, endless beaches without the Riviera. Gently undulating territory, not the Swiss mountains and the rivers of Interlaken.
There has been some impressive buildings like the Parliament or a palace in the heart. Also the old city, the old train station, and modern telecommunications tower. Manicured squares, large green parks and the warm sun of the sunset over the coast.
no longer charge the camera, or a passport. Repeat the same bed for several nights. I do not need a guide or a map. Language is not a problem, and I stopped being a passing tourist. I went
home, the dulce de leche, the roast, the promenade, friends, family. I went back to Montevideo.

Herpes In The The Pubic Hair Region
The Big Apple (USA) Bachelor
New York - USA, 2/10/1998
are five days in New York , which coincide with my last five days of travel.
Entry to USA was strange, because in the control of migration did not like too much to have so many stamps from Arab countries in the passport, and did not understand as a student could be traveling the world for 6 months.
made the mistake of not answering a question from form of customs (they did not understand) and I went to the baggage check. The officer repeated all the questions that had already made the man of migration, and now wanted me to disarm my backpack. Imagine that with so many months of travel, that was impossible to close, so I told him that if he opened it, he'd have to close. Looked both ways and let me pass.
traveled in the Big Apple its typical places: the Empire State Building (excellent view of the city - if they go up for night forget to take good pictures), the Madison Square Garden ( Instead of the biggest events ), the theaters of Broadway (which are centrally sale of tickets in a large office), the Church of San Patricio , and a finite building ( Flatiron Building) in a corner which always appears in the movies. We were in
Twin Towers (World Trade Center ) in Chinatown the Brooklyn Bridge of the Statue of Liberty , and Wall Street held ( NY Stock Exchange).
A little culture with Museum of Modern Art (MoMA ) And the Metropolitan , referring to the international level.
The Central Park really giant, according to the city: the buildings are tall, very long and wide streets, the huge advertising billboards, and transit chaotic (high noise pollution). And the American flag everywhere.
when boarding the bus not expect the driver will lead the word, and bring change just because you have to pull the four 25-cent coins into a funnel, and no other way to pay the ticket. The underground not convey much security, so avoid using it at night. It's like something out of a movie vapor coming from the sewers of the Metro.
morning we walked towards the Central Park went against the grain of people moving into the financial center, and it was crazy. The city has more than 8 million inhabitants, and in the metropolitan area are nearly 22 million people.
When visiting San Francisco are more marginalized than poverty, but here are two things. People who are outside society and others who really need money.
