Tamil Invitation Kavithai

Jazz and Blues Nights (CZECH REP)

Prague - Czech Republic, 08/29/1998

A long train ride from Paris, to return to Prague.

After many months of travel, it feels weird to get to a place "known." Luckily I had to repeat a city from which it was easy to fall in love, so I started to enjoy, rather than just sightseeing.

The wait in front of the Uruguayan embassy in Prague (to be closed for the weekend) was quite long, for my new teammates were slow to arrive. While waiting I had lunch at a local restaurant (U Voja CKU). Rich fish, and as he had written before, very cheap for what they are European prices.

With this new group were less expensive accommodations, betting basically a campground where we camped sometimes and other times we used cabins. In Prague the option was offers comfortable cabins in the Autocamp Trojska ( Trojska 375/157).

Once installed, while the companions were the tours (which I had already done) I devoted myself to revisit my two favorite places in the city: Prague Castle (whose tower had a death row inmate who extended his living playing the violin, because it was so good that people would rather hear his music before he was killed), the Gothic Church (with its towers 58 meters high) and Bridge over the Vltava River the year 1357 (with music by the jazz band the bridge, which I brought a CD).

At night we enjoyed some music . On two different nights we went to two very different places: on the traditional Reduta Jazz Club (founded in 1958 and counts as one of the first in Europe) where they played great jazz and some other celebrities like Bill Clinton sax. There is nothing to pay an entrance face (3.75 dollars) saw a local band called "The eye of the hurricane."

The other musical experience was in a smaller pub (Glena Maleh U) where he played "Stan The Man " Bohemian Blues Band featuring the album: " Liquor, Love & Lies ." Really good. The first two tracks show off the guitarist left with very lengthy solos, but then took his fixed role of bassist and owner was even better. The musicians were rotating from the tables of groups, alternating drummer, guitarists and pianists in the style jam session .

Tamil Kavithai For Marriage

Lights of Paris (France)

Lyon - France, 23/08/1998

The visit to Lyon was swift, barely met the Fourvière Basilica (which has a very good view of the city), and we followed route to Paris.

spent a night in the Hotel Formula 1 - Lyon Chasse sur Rohne (Rue F Mistral). This chain is characterized by function almost automatically with very little personal. There are not many amenities but is quick and convenient for people who are traveling.

Paris - France, 28/08/1998

in Paris is not easy to solve the issue of accommodation. It's a good idea, as in England, have something resolved for at least the first two nights. We were lucky, and found the Hotel Lux (well, simple and central: 8 av. Corbera - Revilly - Diderot) and from there we drove in Metro the city.

The city is great, but is easily navigated using the meters ( should go buy a tourist VISIT PARIS selling to move freely for several days.) Places to visit are many and scattered (the blocks to make them seem endless walking). Involves travel by subway to train combinations, because in general there is a direct take you where you go. The night has its movement, but we must bear in mind that most of the meters fail to pass some time.

The tour began by recalling the trip to Egypt, as in the Place de la Concorde the French look a Luxor Obelisk with golden tip , the era of imperial plunder. Even at the bottom detailed the transfer process .

Then, the Arc de Triomphe (we had to pay attention to what they said leaflets and using the underground tunnel crossing because the traffic is chaotic). In the center a permanent recalling called the Unknown Soldier, and within a museum. From there very good view to take pictures on the Champs Elysee Avenue. There is another arch in Carrousel Plaza.

At the top of the Eiffel Tower (wearing a countdown to the year 2000), are the distances to cities around the world, including Montevideo (10,933 km from home). Front the tower sources of Trocadéro Square, a nice place to have a good time.

Another good recommendation is to visit the Eiffel Tower at night (about U $ S 10 for the promotion), and take photos views of the city during the day on top of the building Montparnasse.
Paris is a city to take it in stride and enjoy it. A walk along the shore of the Seine is something you enjoy. The Pont Vienna is the closest to the Eiffel Tower, and more later is the Pont Royal , and Ile de la Cité the church Sainte Chapell and its 600 m2 of windows .

The Church of Notre Dame with its Gothic towers, it is difficult to photograph because of the lack of remote. Other buildings: Santa Magdalena ( magdalenae ) Picasso Museum (Building Solé), Les Invalides and the Tomb of Napoleon . In the rapid

traveled by the Louvre museum (with details of the pyramid of glass that fits perfectly with the historic building ) gave us the luxury of watching his three most famous works: The Mona Lisa (hung too high, and after an acrylic plate, photographed by millions of tourists per second), the Victory of Samothrace (largely ignored, in a corridor that many people pass by without noticing it) and Venus Milo . It is also very nice an equestrian statue of Joan of Arc in gold, just outside the museum.

Other classic captive are: the University La Sorbonne the Sacre Coure and the Bastille Opera (built by Uruguayan Carlos Ott ) in front of Juliet's Tower .

The French have a reputation of a few friends of tourists and has some truth this. Parisians do not strive to understand other languages and are always in an attitude of annoyance in the presence of visitors. There are many Moroccans, really black, everywhere. Some Africans (sons of the French colonies) wear their costumes.

try a drink at the Café de la Paix , but prices are crazy. The Esplanade

Defense is much to see. On one side are the great buildings of the new city , the modern Arche de la Defense , panoramic elevators, and incredible experience Film Dome - dome-shaped screen of 1,100 m2 of screen with 15,200 Kwts sound.

From Paris, a fast train to Prague (136 dollars), payment of a visa for the second entry to Czech Republic (U $ S 41), to begin the second part of the route : Austria, Hungary, Italy, Spain, Andorra and back to Paris.

Comments Of Report Cards About Behaviour

The Cote d'Azur (France)

Menton - France, 20/08/1998

Leaving Switzerland made a small passage Italy, visiting Torino (Turin ) and the river Po then crossing the Alps again and start our tour of the French Riviera.

To visit the principality of Monaco we installed the Plateau Lodge - St. Michel that runs on the Plateau Camping . The place is in the French city of Menton (a few meters from the border with Italy, and close to Monaco).

In Monaco visited the Royal Palace (with another change of guard included), the Puerto of Yates, the Casino and toured the streets as it does of Grand Prix Formula 1 .

We spent a red light in Monaco, and then talk a little English to confuse enough, we spared the fine.

Nice - France, 08/21/1998
International
Les Relais de la Jeunesse (26 Av Scuderi - Cimiez) was our stay in Nice, but not recommended for being very strict schedules and the overall functioning of the hostel .

The Riviera is famous for the beauty of the Mediterranean Sea surrounded in the mountains. Obviously it's a beautiful corner of the world, with clear water beaches. To not stay with the idea that everything is beach, visited the ruins of the ancient city of Cemenelum , including an amphitheater and baths public.

We are also one of the meccas Film: Cannes . The red carpet was ready for Jan 51 Festival International du Film. There in the Bd de la Croisette offered a 15-minute walk Ferrari for 300 FF ($ 60).

Marseille - France, 08/22/1998

unthinkable after a dialogue between one of the traveling companions (supposedly only spoke English) and the night clerk of Hotel Timotel (18, B. Rabatau), we lodge at a reasonable cost, because we did a 3x2 price.

This city was our last stop in the Mediterranean then take the north route would take us to Paris - the end of the first tranche and change of travel companions.

En route we pass through Avignon (famous for Palais des Papes and Pont d'Avignon XII century the Rhone ). The nursery rhyme says " sur le pont d'Avignon, l'on y danse, l'on y danse " , and do not understand why he said " under the bridge" instead of saying " on the bridge "(one believes that down the bridges there is only water), but we find that under the bridge is a small island which operated a tavern.

The Uruguay of Europe (Switzerland)

Zurich - Switzerland, 17.08.1998

In Uruguay for years grew up listening to our country was " American Switzerland", so we expected great discoveries to come to this country, famous watches, there was no army, and the Red Cross among others. The

first visit (across from Germany) were the Rhine Falls ( Rheinfall ). Impressive water force and images of white foam-green water Tues For those who dare, the experience of board a ship and face the river is very interesting.

who desires to avoid the cost of access Rhine Falls (not to exceed one dollar), you can use a road that goes to the left toward the train station, just before entering the Castle. Front

Lake Zurich (5 Richterswil Hornstra ) we stayed at the Horn Shelter , something far from downtown but highly recommended. Zurich

In addition to the typical visit to the church Fraumunster the year 1230, it was very interesting to see an exhibition in the heart of downtown cows. Modified reproductions of various artists cows, painted and set in the city.

The night in Zurich worthwhile. Many clubs and busy nightlife.

Geneva - Switzerland, 08.18.1998

Geneva Road to go through Interlaken, which is like a village in the middle of nowhere around the famous river Aar (which always appears in crossword puzzles.) Mountains, rivers, small stone bridges, winding paths and show the melting of mountain.

In Geneva we stayed at the Hostel Geneve (20 rue Rothschild). From there we visited the Anglican Church of the Holy Trinity with its beautiful stained glass, the Lake Leman with a jet of water (Jet d'Eau ) that reaches 145 meters, and Botanical Gardens (with several giant checkerboards to play freely), among other attractions.

The famous flower clock ( Horloge Fleurie), is colored plants, not flowers - at least at this time of year. It is also interesting that plants are the month and year: AOUT 98. Walking

chance, I ended up listening to a gypsy jazz group in a park outdoors.

To reach Italy (toward the blue coast), crossing the Mont Blanc paying a toll in Geneva U $ S 5 to get to France + U $ S 35 for the tunnel + U $ S 11 by the Italian toll.

Ausfahrt nach München (GERMANY)

Munich - Germany, 14.08.1998

German motorways are big, fast, and are generally well marked. For several days we noticed that reference was to a place called " Ausfahrt" which lies to the left of the road. But the lineup was repeated every so often and could not believe that so many people were called as well. Finally we learned that means "out" in German. At

Munich (München for local people), we stayed in a good location from downtown, the Hotel Pension Toskana (Schwanthalerstrasse 42), rather expensive for our average but good.

Munich is full of churches : Theatiner (second half of XVII century - Italian Baroque), Frauenkirche (Our Lady, 1468 - with two clock towers), Saint Peter (built in the century XIV), Saint Michaels (1583 - instead of the German counter).

The main square is Marienplatz, where the old Gothic Town Hall (Rathaus ) with a concert carillon (Glockenspiel ) not worth the wait. view is beautiful from tower. Discover

for photos are Residenz Palace , where they lived the kings of Bavaria , and Olympic Stadium Munich , which is best seen from the television tower there close.

In the area of the stadium, we have a great show with games (Theresienwiese Fair Park for Oktoberfest ) and try German beer (type chop, in a giant jar), very fresh, probably with added groups.

On the shores of the Isar River (mostly channeled) many take sun (and despite being among the city do not miss the topless nudity nor ). We were in

Dachau, one of the Nazi concentration camps most important (the first in 1933 and continued in operation until 1945). It is difficult to describe the feelings to be there. Personally I avoided the photos which they consider unnecessary. As in other situations horrific recent history of my country, it is important to remember to keep firm the NEVER AGAIN.

Freiburg - Germany, 16.08.1998

Destination: Zurich (Switzerland) we stayed at the hostel Freiburg (Kartäuserstrasse 151). With breakfast and central, so it is a better choice. Then

Baden Baden in the Black Forest (mountains, lakes and lots of green landscape in the extreme southwest of Germany), and crossed into Switzerland to reach the Rhine Falls

Extreme Pain Under Big Toe

The heart of Bohemia (CZECH REP) no wall

Prague - Czech Republic, 12/08/1998

Prague is the center of Bohemia region and capital of the former Czechoslovakia , Czech Republic today. But it is also a city frozen in time, on the banks of the Vltava river, full of charm, history and culture (among the most famous: Franz Kafka , and the author of "The Unbearable Lightness of Being" - Milan Kundera ). was in Prague where Mozart premiered Don Giovanni.

is a city for walking slowly, enjoying their pedestrian streets, its corners , its culture, and old buildings . The city stands as if by magic, as bombs or wars, or earthquakes in the area touched Prague.

The Castle and Cathedral of San Vito (with spectacular stained glass ) are on top of a hill (the cobblestone streets are quite steep, and some have stairs). From there the view is breathtaking. We also witnessed a new change of guard , this time the Czech style, with uniforms and celestial boxes and musicians playing from the castle windows . The

bridge (Charles Bridge ) a jazz band making music with acoustic instruments and singing with a copper cone as an amplifier, tempting the visitor to sit and relax. Legend has it that a priest (San Juan Nepomuceno ), who declined to share the confessions of Queen Juana Bavaria at the request of King Wenceslas VI, was released into the river from the bridge (a plate, which all play for luck, remember the fact.)

The main plaza across the river Vltava , has an astronomical clock on top of City Hall, which has motion (passed the twelve apostles) and sound on the hour.

The Church of Infant Jesus of Prague is another amazing place in the tour, with high symbolic value and a small statue of Jesus child covered by a layer of fabric that changes periodically. Another church we visited was that of Our Lady of Tyn .

Prague we take to eat right, it is the cheapest place in Europe. One thing that was pending, was to go to theater (especially is famous for its works black theater and puppets ).

Prague is devoted entirely to tourism, and it shows in the overcrowded streets of foreigners. The old town houses are bars, discos, hostels, souvenir shops, or local Bohemian crystal. But everything is tidy and well maintained. It even has a very distinct aesthetic, which is reflected in the memories that you can bring as pitchers , shirts , posters, etc. The mark " explosive fun" has several attractive designs souvenirs Czech artist Jiří Votruva .

We entered a place that seemed a "museum of armor" and then noticed that each artifact was posted price, it is not a museum but a tent. Manufactured armor and other period objects and sell them.

An amusing anecdote was communication with a pair of veterans that we stayed at home (Family Plasil - Sturnova 4, Natruhlarse). They spoke only German and Czech, we were responding to them in English, but we understood. On the day of historical record heat, the landlord shows the men of the group the cover of the journal where it appeared a woman with her breasts exposed. It was difficult to translate his comments, nor decipher the words of his horrified wife would be saying to our colleagues, something like "these men".

The contrast is at the entrance to the city, then on the road the first thing you see are night clubs, wisquerías, motels, etc. Promoted by half-naked girls. The Czech Republic is a red zone widespread in Europe, and has much to do with the high truck traffic it receives. What's crazy is that the route are in the midst of nothing, prostitutes and garden gnomes - both at the sale, and quite ugly.

Near Prague is the city of Pilsen , and obviously there were, as it is the cradle of the most widespread of the world beer. We visited the Museum of Beer .

Spider Solitaire Are Solvable

Berlin (Germany)

Berlin - Germany, 09.08.1998

The northern route from Berlin to is long, forcing us to spend a night in a German people who are on the road. We were lucky (after 6 hours looking for somewhere good and cheap) ended up in the Hotel Bur Mueber Bucht (1 route 192 Schwerin ). A beautiful cabins that we release, through the kindness of several Germans who were diverted to consult to guide us, and even came to be lowered themselves to ask us.

The next day we got to Berlin and settled in Hostel St. Michaels Heim (Bismarkalle 23), a beautiful old building which had a great time. Be prepared to walk a lot, then ride the truck is not practical, and distances are enormous.

the "Avenida de los Tilos " is the longest in the world, and traveled from the famous Brandenburg Gate ( Paris Square), after having been in the Across the city, visiting the War Memorial with Russian characters are still present.

On both sides of the city (formerly divided by the wall ) are interesting places like The Museum of National History (with a good account of the recent history of both Germany and the reconstruction process ), the Cathedral of St. Nicholas (with an impressive pipe organ) and a monument to Marx and Engel (opposite the town hall ). There is also a church (Kaiser Wilhelm ) is impressive as it remained standing despite the bombing.

Dresden - Germany 11/08/1998
Leaving Berlin
go through the nearby city of Potsdam (ancient capital of the Prussian empire) where Stalin, Churchill and Truman met to resolve the fate of Germany after the war ended in 1945 . Visited the University and the New Palace (1769), the Palace Orange (1851), the Sanssoucci (1745) with stairways and gardens, and the Chinese Tea House .

Sanssouci was the place of residence summer Frederick "the Great" . Years later, as have the very biographies Napoleon could not believe I was sleeping in the same bed and being awakened by the same clock that years ago, had been held by Frederick II of Prussia.

Later we stopped at the city of Dresden , where the most striking is the Fürstenzug mural depicting the procession of the Dukes. The mural consists of 24,000 painted porcelain tiles, occupying one hundred meters long.

Not only Nobel (Sweden)

Stockholm - Sweden, 08/06/1998

In 1901 he began to deliver the prizes that Alfred Nobel had indicated in his will, and always looks World would be fixed in the Swedish kingdom as a place where it stimulates researchers, inventors and creators.

This country that was home to refugees around the world, and especially the 70 who were persecuted by the Latin American dictatorships is a beautiful corner of Europe, with high levels of education and social welfare.

We never Midsommar party (the weekend closest to June 24), when the Swedes celebrate the longest day of year (summer solstice), which is almost 24 hours. Instead

were in full celebration of the Feast of Water , a crafts fair, live shows and a lot of movement around the Lake Malaren and water courses .

also saw the ship Af Chapman , which is a shelter that works in a boat moored at the docks in Stockholm, we stayed at Camping Eklundsnas Bad Och, cheaper.

Testicle Pain After Whey Protein

the edge of the North Pole (NORWAY)

Oslo - Norway, 01/08/1998

We came to northern Europe in search of fjords in Norway . It is a good stretch of road, crossing tunnels in the mountains very long: 3,800, 4,200, 11,400 meters and more.

In Oslo, the remains of a Viking ship , and the wonderful Vigeland Park sculptures so real and so much "movement" that amaze: the tantrum of a child, a wheel bodies, a couple of kids running , and human obelisk among others.

Adding to our photo archive new changing of the guard, this time in the fortress Akershus Slott . It was fun to watch as one of the guards dropped a shoulder ornament, and at the end of the ceremony was to raise another guard, but without losing the solemnity set the pace, get in position firmly and finally bending. Another thing that amused us was the movements to indicate which of the guards was the one who would occupy the main square. They were all standing in line and shouting the captain all the left looked to right and from right to left, leaving the middle-faced "over me."

Oslo was taken in the Second World War by the Nazis for its strategic location in the North Sea. Here we visited the museum to the resistance.

Bergen - Norway, 08/03/1998

In Oslo we stayed in the camping cabins Refling, but in Bergen chose to stay in a house particular (Johanne Haldorsen), something far (Skaffamyrame 71 - Espeland Road E16 following the signs for "cribs"), but with a beautiful landscape. Bergen

is indescribable. We are in the north, snow-capped mountains , glaciers and fjords . In the city a fishing market dominated by the color orange . We tried the salmon oil sellers offering to the public as if it were stiff.

This city was the first capital of Norway, and I am completely burned down a lane (with houses all painted in colors), recalling the original Bergen.
